In this diverse group of expeditions, the M/V Polar Star makes her way from the aquamarine waters of the equatorial Atlantic to the icy wilderness of Svalbard. Join us as we explore some of the most unique, beautiful and wild frontiers in the world.

Our Atlantic Islands and Fjords series has something for everyone.  In the Azores, we explore ancient volcanic formations and get to know a society where the importance of tradition has not been lost. UK & Eire is a land steeped in history and we spend days discovering stone circles, brochs and ancient villages to try and unravel mysteries of the past. In Norway, we will Zodiac cruise pristine fjords and learn stories that have become part of Norwegian legend.

Wildlife lovers will be in their element. We will keep watch for spinner dolphins and their entertaining antics, in the Macaronesia Islands, look out for the unique Frigate bird and further north, sail around remote sea stacks where thousands of seabirds come to nest. Finally, as we enter Arctic waters, we may come across a polar bear, traversing the ice in Spitsbergen – a vision that will surely take your breath away.
