PRE AND POST CRUISE: REYKJAVIK, ICELAND

TOURS – VOLCANIC ICELAND EXTENSION PROGRAM

Day 1:Transfer from Keflavik International airport by Fly Bus to Reykjavik and the CenterHotel Klöpp with the remainder of the morning at leisure. This afternoon, enjoy a guided leisurely afternoon city tour embracing the hot spots of Iceland’s Capital. Visits to includeThe National Museum, the outdoor folk museum at Árbaer, the Pearl Vantage point, the Botanical gardens and washing pools at Laugardalur. Overnight accommodations and breakfast at the CenterHotel Klöpp.

* It is strongly suggested that hotel accommodation is booked from the night before to ensure that an early morning check in and breakfast is available for those guests arriving from the United States.

Day 2:Following breakfast and check out enjoy a full day Golden Circle tour including lunch, ending at the ship for embarkation. (Bags will go ahead by separate luggage transfer) Your tour includes a visit to the recently opened Friðheimar farm where guests can enjoy a short but informative horse show/demonstration aimed at introducing the Icelandic horse and its famed five gaits. Followed by a visit The Gullfoss waterfall, the spouting geysers/hot spring area, Thingvellir Nation Park and UNESCO site and Kerid volcanic crater. Lunch will be served in the Gullfoss waterfall or the Geyser area.
