Greenland is a constitutional monarchy, part of the Kingdom of Denmark. Greenland’s head of the state is the Queen of Denmark but the country is considered self governing and has its own Prime Minister, Hans Enoksen (correct at time of printing). The capital of Greenland is Nuuk.
LANGUAGE
The official language of Greenland is Greenlandic but both Greenlandic and Danish are used in politics. English is also spoken.
RELIGION
The dominant religion in Greenland is Evangelical Lutherism with other practiced religions including Catholicism and Seventh Day Adventist.
PEOPLE
The population of Greenland is approximately 56,00 people, made up predominantly of Inuit, Greeland-born whites and Danes.
